Click below for the handouts (given at Back to School Night), which give detailed information about our parking lot procedures.  If all families follow these procedures, our lots will be safe for students and allow for swift pick-up and drop-off from school.  These procedures were developed with the help of our families and in conjunction with law enforcement. Thank you for your support following our procedures.

PROCEDURES THAT WILL GREATLY INCREASE STUDENT SAFETY:
  • Drive slowly in parking lots and on surrounding streets.
  • Remain patient, courteous, and follow the rules.
  • Cell phones should not be used in the parking lot, especially when students are present.
  • Do not block crosswalks or street access.
  • Always watch for children and be cautious.
  • No U-turns on Camborne.
  • Please do not instruct our 6th grade parking attendants, crossing guards or parking lot supervisors.  We appreciate your feedback, but our attendants are doing what we have asked and trained them to do.  If you have a question, comment or idea, feel free to talk to or email our office staff.
Drop-Off (Before School)

Drop-Off (Before School) iconDrop-Off (Before School)title

We have two drop-off routes, Parking Lot A and Parking Lot B, for all students in K through 6th grade.  Please pull into whichever parking lot you choose and proceed forward along the fire lane(s)/unloading areas.  Only allow your child out of your car if you are against a curb.  In Parking Lot A, 6th grade parking attendants will assist in opening car doors.  In Parking Lot B, a crossing guard is in place.  Stay in your car and do not leave your car unattended in the fire lane/unloading areas.   Students should not be dropped off in the bus zone.
Pick-up in Parking Lot A - By the Office (After School)

Pick-up in Parking Lot A - By the Office (After School) iconPick-up in Parking Lot A - By the Office (After School)title

Pull into the parking lot and take a space along the fire lane/loading area.  Turn off your car until dismissal.  Do not leave your car unattended in the fire lane/loading area.  Cars should not be parked in front of Kids Junction.  If all spots in the fire lane/loading area are taken, circle the parking lot until a spot opens up or your child is present and can be loaded into your car by the parking lot supervisor who will be visible in a yellow vest.  Children waiting to load into cars should wait by the curb closest to the kindergarten gate.  If your child sees your car in the fire lane/loading area, they should walk down and load themselves along the curb.  If your child does not see your car along the curb, they should wait by the kindergarten gate and alert the parking lot supervisor when you are approaching the turn by the office.  The Parking lot supervisor will load your child when your car is in the “circling  lane” in the turn by the office.  No children should go in between cars to load themselves in the middle “circling lane.”  Children loading into cars should only load on the school side of your car – this ensures that children are never walking in between cars.  If you choose to park in a parking space, you must get out of your car and get your child.  Children will not be allowed to walk out into the parking lot by themselves.
